Folder Vault Privacy Policy

In short: your files stay on your Meta Quest headset, and the app sends only anonymous usage stats that you can turn off.

Summary

• No account and no ads.
• Your files, vaults, passwords and settings stay on your headset. File names, folders and vault contents are never sent anywhere.
• The app sends anonymous usage stats (which features are used, whether videos play) to PostHog, EU-hosted. Turn them off in Settings, Privacy, "Share anonymous usage data".
• Otherwise the app only goes online to reach network shares (PC or NAS) that you add.
• Meta, as the platform and store, handles its own data under its own policy.

Vault passwords are never stored. Photos, small files and file names are fully encrypted (AES-256-GCM); big files are encrypted at the vault's level: Fast (pieces all through the file), Strong (a quarter) or Full (every byte).

This website uses Google Analytics to measure aggregate visitor traffic (pages visited, links clicked). That is separate from the app's anonymous usage stats.
