FOLDER VAULT - END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT (EULA)
Effective date: September 27, 2026
IMPORTANT - READ CAREFULLY: This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") is a legal
contract between you ("you" or "User") and Datron ("Licensor," "we," "us," or "our")
for the Folder Vault application for Meta Quest headsets, including updates and
documentation (collectively, the "Software"). By installing, copying, or using the
Software, you agree to this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not install or use the
Software.
The Software is distributed through the Meta Horizon Store. Your use of the store is
also governed by Meta's own terms. If this Agreement conflicts with terms that Meta
requires to apply to apps distributed through its store, Meta's required terms apply
to the extent of the conflict.

1. WHAT THE SOFTWARE DOES

Folder Vault is an application for Meta Quest headsets (Horizon OS) that:
- Lets you browse, open, copy, move, rename, and delete files on the headset
storage, using the "All files access" permission you grant.
- Lets you create password-protected vaults and hide files and folders in them.
Photos, files under 64 MB, and file names and folders are fully encrypted.
Large files (64 MB or more) are moved into the vault and encrypted at the level
chosen for the vault: Fast (pieces all through the file), Strong (a quarter of
the file) or Full (every byte). Strong and Full may require a paid upgrade.
- Plays photos and flat, 3D, VR180, 360, and fisheye video.
- Connects, read-only, to SMB network shares (for example a PC or NAS) that you add.
The Software does not require an account and never sends your files, file names or
vault contents to Licensor. It sends anonymous usage statistics, which you can turn off
in Settings. See the Folder Vault Privacy Policy on the Folder Vault website for details.

2. LICENSE GRANT

Subject to your compliance with this Agreement, Licensor grants you a limited,
non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on
Meta Quest headsets that you own or control, as permitted by the Meta Horizon Store,
for your personal or internal business purposes.
No ownership of the Software is transferred to you. All rights not expressly granted
are reserved by Licensor.

3. RESTRICTIONS - YOU MAY NOT

Except to the extent applicable law expressly permits despite this limitation, you
may not, and may not permit any third party to:
(a) copy, distribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the
Software or any portion of it;
(b) modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works based on the Software;
(c) reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the
source code of the Software;
(d) remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary
notices in the Software;
(e) tamper with, bypass, or disable any licensing, purchase, or security features
of the Software;
(f) use the Software to store, play, or distribute content that you do not have
the right to use, or in any manner that violates applicable law or third-party
rights.
If you wish to use the Software in a way not permitted here, contact us at the
address in Section 11 to request written permission.

4. YOUR FILES, PASSWORDS, AND BACKUPS

You are responsible for the files you browse, hide, and play with the Software, and
for keeping your own backups of anything important.
Vault passwords are never stored by the Software or sent to Licensor. IF YOU FORGET A
VAULT PASSWORD, THE FILES IN THAT VAULT CANNOT BE RECOVERED BY YOU, BY LICENSOR, OR BY
ANYONE ELSE. Vault data is kept only on the headset; a factory reset or deleting the
hidden vault folder erases it. Restore files you want to keep before uninstalling,
resetting, or giving away the headset.
The Software is a convenience tool for privacy on a shared or personal headset. It is
not certified security software and is not intended to protect information against a
determined attacker with access to your device.

5. PURCHASES

Some features may require a paid upgrade in current or future versions. Purchases are
processed by the Meta Horizon Store under Meta's terms, including its refund terms.
Licensor does not receive your payment card details.

6. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Software includes third-party open-source components (for example media decoders
based on FFmpeg). Those components are licensed to you under their own licenses, not
under this Agreement, and nothing in this Agreement limits rights those licenses give you.

7. UPDATES AND CHANGES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Licensor may provide updates or changes to the Software. Updates may be subject to
additional or updated terms presented at the time of update. Continued use after an
update constitutes acceptance of those terms.
Licensor may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Software at any time,
subject to applicable law and the Meta Horizon Store terms.

8. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND.
LICENSOR DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY,
INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR
PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
LICENSOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, SECURE,
FREE OF DATA LOSS, OR COMPATIBLE WITH EVERY FILE, VIDEO FORMAT, NETWORK SHARE, HEADSET,
OR VERSION OF HORIZON OS.
Some jurisdictions do not allow exclusion of implied warranties, so some of the above
may not apply to you.

9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR AND ITS CONTRIBUTORS
WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE
DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, FILES, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY,
ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE (INCLUDING
LOSS OF ACCESS TO A VAULT WHOSE PASSWORD WAS FORGOTTEN), EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE
POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, LICENSOR'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR
ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THIS AGREEMENT OR THE SOFTWARE WILL NOT
EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SOFTWARE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE
CLAIM (OR USD $10.00 IF THE SOFTWARE WAS PROVIDED AT NO CHARGE).
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages, so some
of the above may not apply to you.

10. TERMINATION AND GENERAL

This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement
terminate automatically if you breach any term. Upon termination, you must stop using
the Software and uninstall it. Sections 3, 4, 8, 9, and 10 survive termination.
Entire agreement. This Agreement, together with the Folder Vault Privacy Policy
(website) and any terms Meta requires, constitutes the entire agreement regarding the
Software.
Severability. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in
effect.
No waiver. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of future enforcement.
Assignment. You may not assign this Agreement. Licensor may assign it in connection
with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
Governing law. This Agreement is governed by the laws applicable in your country or
state of residence, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local
consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
